Ya know, the saddest thing isn’t his injuries. He’s young, and as long as he didn’t break his back, he’ll be okay. The saddest thing is that because he’s in the US, working as a bike messenger, this is financially the end of him.
This, right here, is where his life ended, even if he isn’t permanently injured.

OMG,thanks for that comment! Your 100% right. One of those assholes ran into me when I clearly had the walk signal.Funny thing is,he fell and not me,lol! Now I see why most buildings in NYC don’t allow messengers through the front door.

  • xxbondsxx:

@kotapaka seriously. i hate hipsters because they think its “cool” to completely disobey the rules and endanger everyone

  • johnball235:

awh mang..it was nice bike.!.anyway this shit happens, at least a ghost bike didnt have to be placed for him

  • 04smallmj:

I think they carry shit to places

  • kotapaka:

Well it might have been completely his fault. I am a cyclist and I’ve never driven a car to work or to school or whatever and I cycle everyday and the things I see on youtube are just horrifying. Some cyclist completely forget about rules. After all you are a fking vehicle and you have to obey rules.

  • thirteenfingers:

In some places they’d be called a courier.

Essentially someone who delivers things (packages, documents, disks, cash etc) from one place to another by bicycle. Typically they work in city centres. Longer range deliveries are more usually done by motorcycle, car or van.

Very often during work, I imagine lying on a stretcher like this myself. I think it keeps me alert. I hope this guy has an insurance and that he gets well soon!

  • joeslattpeda:

    lol nice come back :~0

  • thibaulthalpern:

Yes, respect the messenger. But the messenger also needs to respect traffic laws. If the messenger wants respect, s/he needs to also earn it.

  • Blenkey117:

u have the internet at ur fingers. use it!!

  • danh11234:

  • RecessMonkeys:

I know how he feels. The worst is being immobilized by the EMS when all you want to do is move to alleviate the pain. Hopefully he got a good dose of morphine and some pretty nurses to tend to him. I hope he’s riding again in the spring.

  • iMacwebb:

    i hope he is ok

  • keirinberlin:

All the best wishes from Berlin !!!!!!!!
    Ride safe, Respect the messenger!

  • GlasgowScumHunter:
